Difficulty

People face difficulties in their life. Students face exams, employees face targets and bills, singles face uncertainty, spouses must sustain their marriage.

Sometimes I get overwhelmed with what I’m dealing with. As I ponder, these 4 tips could help me to overcome and stay optimistic during difficult times.

1. Be Grateful

Try to focus our eyes on the brighter side of life and the essentials. We should have something we could be thankful for.

2. Be Realistic

We live in an imperfect world. There will be problems and challenges. We can become a better person after overcoming the problems. Some said problems are a gift.

3. Be Mindful

I really love the definition of mindful: awareness of the present experience with acceptance. As we face difficulties, our thoughts and emotions can get messy. We can choose to bury the thoughts and emotions, or to be aware and accept as messy as it is, then give ourselves a hearty hug. Our thoughts and emotions will not be disappear by burying.

4. Love the Journey

We have our goals, maybe certain career position or certain relationship conditions. Let’s enjoy our journey toward the goals, whether we can reach our goal or not. Hopefully we can be a little better each day of our journey.
